Share your upbringing. How did it lead to the entertainment business?
Bobby Dee: I was raised by mom and dad in Huntington Park by young parents. My father was willing to break some rules to give us a good life.
When was your first break? Who do you credit for your success?
Bobby Dee: My first break was when my father made me a partner at a sold-out show at the Hollywood Palladium and yes my father is my mentor HANDS DOWN!
Share a few experiences throughout your career that people can relate to.
Bobby Dee: I’ve struggled to the point that I questioned myself and my self-worth and I think most people experience that every day. It’s hard to overcome doubt and fear but when you do you come out on top.
What do you enjoy most about being a promoter?
Bobby Dee: I truly enjoy seeing people of all creeds and colors unite under music.
Tell us about “Bobby Dee Presents.” What are a few key aspects that people should do about working with you?
Bobby Dee: Bobby Dee Presents is my father’s company he started it and we do it all from salsa, Reggaeton, hip hop, Spanish rock, rock, etc...
How has the industry changed?
Bobby Dee: The Industry has changed by Live Nation and AEG. They are a dominant force and control most of the market. Both are extremely amazing and successful companies.
How are you unique?
Bobby Dee: I am unique in the sense that I will give everyone a chance if you got talent, drive, and ambition then you got my attention.
What is your mantra?
Bobby Dee: Work while everyone else is Asleep.
Who would you like to work with in 2020?
Bobby Dee: I would love to work with Morrissey and we’re very VERY CLOSE to making that happen.
Tell us about your partnership with Uncle Snoops Army. What is special about this partnership?
Bobby Dee: Uncle Snoops Army is a multi-faceted company that encompasses Artist Management, Artist booking and we produce our concerts and festivals. I’m very lucky to have Snoop Dogg as my partner and friend.
How will this partnership change the way you are currently doing shows?
Bobby Dee: It’ll just get bigger and bigger because Snoops range and knowledge of músic is so big that he will see Artists I don’t see. I will see things he won’t see and boom… GREAT SUCCESS (in Borat voice)
What is the best advice you ever received?
Bobby Dee: The best advice I ever got was I SHOULD GET OUT OF THE BUSINESS AND HANG IT UP. I worked harder after that one.
